KLF founders Robin and Larry Sells present a check for $50,000 to the UCLA Foundation for the Stoyanova Lab. This is the largest grant ever given to date for the Katherine’s Light Foundation. In her lab, Dr. Tanya Stoyanova discovered a protein called UCHL1 that is a protein that presents itself in NET cancer tumors. The detection of this protein is a breakthrough that with further study and research can lead to earlier detection of NET cancer and potentially targeted treatments for NET tumors. This check will fund a researcher for one year for the further study of the UCHL1 protein.
